Their word war isn’t over, and on Thursday, it was the turn of Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to take a swipe at his closest rival, Senator Manuel Villar, standard-bearer of the Nacionalista Party (NP).
“If we agree that change is necessary, how can a presidential aspirant, whose own financial and political ethics are questionable, be effective in leading transformation as the head of the bureaucracy?” Aquino said on Thursday’s Makati Business Club (MBC) forum.
It was an obvious swipe at Villar, who faces possible censure by the Senate for his alleged improper and unethical conduct in connection with the C-5 road extension project.
